It Was 1996

My journey began on a slow motion, the first time I entered the gathering of young believers though I was bone in a christian family. I was in JSS3. That faithful day it was exactly 14th june, we were to go for lunch break it was a boarding school. I came out for alter call and that who the journey started but didnt receive the holy spirit that day.
it didnt happen on till 2000 when I joined a believing group of young christian. I spoke something that day but it doesnt sound like anything. years after i kept saying the same thing until one faithful day, I was @ a friends house, they had a nursery school. it was about 4:00pm, every parent had come to pick up there children but to everyone amusement a child was missing.
then search went up for this little one. I was upstairs with my friends having some chat. immediately I go a prompting within me to join them in the search. suddenly a little child came up to say.
. I have found her' wow!! She was DEAD. "The little One". I Swifted to Action busted in tongues.
. it was like a wild fire. . .
I grabbed this little child and She came back to life. . Ever since then. .
I know I have that assurance that my heaven is sure. I got it right the first time. . Bless be God.

A REPORT ON THE SUNDAY 3RD JULY COMMUNION SERVICE WITH PASTOR CHRIS

The monthly Communion service that holds at Christ Embassy is one that brings about a convergence of thousands of people all around the world. The month of July was no exception as thousands gathered in various Christ Embassy churches to participate in a blissful Communion with the Man of God , Pastor Chris.
Clad in full regalia for the occasion, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started off by proclaiming that the month of July is a special month and one which he is excited about.

Pastor Chris went on and spoke about the significance of the month of July. He said “Apart from marking the end of the first half of the year, it is the seventh month of the year... and seven is a special number – a number of completion” .

Reading from the bible, Pastor Chris asked the teaming participants from all around the world, to turn their bibles to 2 Chronicles 20:22 and before reading this scripture , he says “what the month is like, what you are going to do, and what God is going to do for you; what you can expect of him and what He expects of you”.
 The bible says in 2 Chronicles 20:22: “And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.”

Pastor Chris explains that Judah , the smaller portion of Israel after their split into two separate nations, was attacked by other three nations, Ammon, Moab and Seir. And Jehoshaphat king of Judah prayed to God that He should not permit the enemy to take away the land He gave to them.
Pastor Chris went on to say that just because God gives us something does not mean that Satan would not try to destroy it or take it away from us. He would try.
Pastor Chris says just like he tried using Ammon, Moab and Seir to take away the land from Judah, but Jehoshaphat was wise in gathering all of Judah together and demanded that they ‘pray  to God’.
Pastor Chris made mention of the fact that when they prayed, God spoke to them. God told them not to be afraid but to go out against them the next day. He also told them where the enemy was camped and gave them a strategy. “This is amazing, really, how God responds. He told them everything they needed to know about the enemy”, Pastor Chris declared.

With the same scripture in focus, Pastor Chris emphasized that regardless of what we have done before now to improve our conditions, whether it’s been prayers or declarations; that this month, we would have to take another step. He said; “this next step is that we would have to activate the power of God, because when we prayed God already answered. But how to activate the power of God is what many Christians don’t know.”
Pastor Chris spoke specifically on how to activate that power  -“when they began to sing and to praise.....when they began to sing was when the victory started.”
Just like Jehoshaphat did, he went out to war and put singers in front of the army – musicians in front the soldiers! It looked stupid! But that was the strategy which God gave him!
 Pastor Chris tells us that, “in the evil day of battle, when trouble strikes and there’s pain, you can think about putting the singers in front. The Bible says as they began to sing and to praise, God set ambushments against the enemy; and they threw swords on each other and destroyed themselves.” 
He says by the time Jehoshaphat army got there, they were all smitten.
Having explained the direction of which he was going with the theme scripture, Pastor Chris went on to declare that THE MONTH OF JULY IS A MONTH OF PRAISE!!
 He instructs, saying “you are going to praise God in this month of July, and as you do just like the children of Judah did, He would set up ambushments against your enemies, and He would perform miracles for you.”
He continues, “you’re going to activate the power of God where you are, you’re going to praise him, you will sing. This month you will sing, you will sing and you will sing.”
 Wow! Unmistakeably was the emphasis on singing in this Month of Praise. Pastor Chris re-iterated saying, “...don’t wait for the song to come, make it. Make the song, sing it. When you feel like it and when you don’t feel like it. When you’re happy and when you’re not happy, sing it.”
Pastor Chris said that though Judah went out to war, it wasn’t a happy thing but they were happy because God had spoken to them. 
Drawing from a scripture in the New Testament, Pastor Chris spoke about Paul and Silas; when they were thrown in prison in Acts 16:25-27.
The Bible says:
“25: And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and SANG PRAISES UNTO GOD: and the prisoners heard them.
 26: And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
 27: And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.”

Pastor Chris threw some light on the attitude that Paul and Silas had while in prison. He says “they sang praises, not songs of regret. They sang praises. The power of God was activated; the power of the Holy Spirit was brought to bear. That same power lives in you. ”
Pastor Chris went on to say “The problem is many don’t know how to activate that power that is in them to make it work for them. This month of July, you are going to praise Him, it’s the month of praise. You will sing praises to God; you will speak in tongues – joyous tongues. Not weeping tongues; because there are weeping tongues, but there are joyous tongues as well!”
Pastor Chris instructs that in the month of July, joyous tongues of praise and thanksgiving should be spoken, and this is what should be done! He assures that when this is done, miracles will be seen and that the power of God will move on behalf of everyone that heeds to this spiritual instruction.
 Breaking forth into other tongues and keeping at it for several minutes, the excitement in the declaration of the message of the month could be seen on the Man of God. He further declared that he was stirred in his spirit.
 What a glorious communion it was as the bread was broken and the wine drank in one accord by all participants in various parts of the world. All done in remembrance of the Lord, Jesus Christ
 With glorious and inspiring Words in prayer, Pastor Chris spoke forth blessings, eternal in nature and then brought the meeting to an end proclaiming “HAVE A WONDERFUL MONTH OF JULY!!!”

 The Fraternity Of The God-kind
Like an expert artiste, whose superbly perfected mural reveals details and spectacle on the canvas, Pastor Chris, by the Wisdom of the Spirit, skillfully dissected 2 Peter 1:1-4 and unveiled to the congregants, the believer’s real place in Christ. He explained that the term “partakers of the divine nature,” used in the 4th verse actually means we’re associates, comrades, or partners with divinity; a fraternity of the God-kind.

The word “divine” was translated from the Greek “theios”, which in Greek etymology describes a pantheon- the collection of all their gods. Now, Peter, by using the same word, was describing another pantheon- a divine one-of which we’re comrades, fellows or associates.
 Christ In You –A Revelation To The Church For The Now!
Pastor Chris called the attention of the congregation to Colossians 1:16,“…Christ in you, the hope of glory.”This revelation is the present truth and the essence of Christianity! He explained that while the birth of Jesus ushered in the revelation of “Emmanuel,” meaning God with us, the revelation to the Church for the now is “Christ in you.” Mincing no words, Pastor Chris assured that anyone who takes a hold of this truth will walk in the transcendent life of glory, the higher life in Christ.
 A Mighty Outburst of The Miraculous
The teaching of the Word by Pastor Chris stirred the faith of those in attendance to receive healings, miracles and the blessing of God’s Spirit. The power of God was present mightily leaving miracle-healing, blessing and salvation in its wake. March 2011 Communion Service with Pastor Chris: A Report

It was yet another delightful gathering of Saints as members of Christ Embassy Churches around the world gathered in their respective churches to participate in the March 2011 Communion Service with Pastor Chris on the 6th day of March 2011.

The month of March is a very special month and the man of God, Pastor Chris, began this unique first Sunday of the month service by reading from 1 Corinthians 11:23 - 29. 23For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:  24And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
 25After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
 26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.  27Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.  29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.



THE BREAKING OF BREAD
 "It’s our Communion Service tonight in which we’d be breaking break, just as the Lord Jesus said for us to do in remembrance of him”, Pastor Chris said to the world-wide congregation and reading further from Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers; the man of God shared that the brethren continued steadfastly in the doctrine of the apostles, frequently, regularly, and walking in the light of the apostles’ teachings – “in breaking of bread and in fellowship”, the Bible says.  “What we are doing right now is fellowship because we are doing this regularly and together”, he continued.

“Remember He said, in the 28th verse, let every man examine himself. Why? Verse 27 says: whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. Notice he didn’t say being unworthy, but unworthily, meaning in a manner unworthy of the body of Christ, unworthy of the body of Christ. He’s instructing us to do it reverently.
Because the communion is a demonstration of your faith in the body of Jesus Christ and what he has done for us”, exhorted Pastor Chris.

Expounding more from the Book of Colossians 1:12-13: 12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (qualified us) to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
“So he’s made us worthy and we should be grateful and thankful. He qualified us by himself. So you don’t need to try to qualify by yourself, and that’s the reason you can take the communion today... If you do something wrong, acknowledge it and then accept God’s forgiveness”  Pastor Chris stated as he shed the light of God’s Word into the hearts of the congregation and they listened with rapt attention.

As the teaching continued, the man of God instructed that all in the Congregation take their piece of communion bread and say the following great words of proclamation:
“Father in the name of Jesus I belong to you and I thank you because you have made me worthy. I also thank you for making me a new creation. Lord, I thank you for the blood of your Son Jesus that was shed for me and his body that was broken me. The chastisement for my sins was laid upon him and with his stripes I was healed”.

That’s remarkable!” he exclaimed, and encouraging the Church that as they eat the bread, they are eating health into their body, Pastor Chris enjoined everyone to break and eat the bread.

Choir ministrations begin as the congregation break and eat their bread.


THE CUP
In the same manner, the Bible says, “he also took the cup, when he had supped, saying; this cup is the New Testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me” (2Corinthians 11: 25).

Reading the above scripture, Pastor Chris directed the assembly to take the cup “...and as you proceed, have it in your heart that strength has come into your body today; and also remember our oneness with the Lord Jesus. Because he brought us life which we have received, and now we have it in every fibre of our being. As you drink it, nothing of Satan remains in you. Never accept the accusations of the devil” he posited firmly.

And praying he said “Father we take the cup and drink in remembrance of the blood that was shed, and for the oneness that we share with Christ in the name of Jesus. Amen”.


MARCH: A MONTH OF TESTIMONIES
Unveiling the mind of God for God’s people for the month of March, the man of God declared excitedly “this month of March is a month of testimonies. That’s what this month is, a month of testimonies from beginning to the end and we are already having them. If you have any crisis or you are in any difficult situation, you just start thanking God and say “this is my month of testimonies and I’m coming out of this with testimonies”. You see the end from the beginning irrespective of what it is; you say to yourself “I’m coming with testimonies”!

Affirming strongly, Pastor Chris continued “...so you are coming with testimonies for this is a month of testimonies and that’s what the Spirit of God has said; a harvest of testimonies. Just be thankful to the Lord, this month you are going to be full of thanks. No matter what happens, you are going to say “Lord, wow I thank you because this is happening now in my month of testimonies and it’s going to turn out for my good”.  This is prophetic, this is the word of the Spirit to us and it’s coming to you now; it doesn’t matter what the case may be, it’s your month of testimonies. Praise the Lord Jesus!”

What a way to start off a new month! With this revelation, God's people have been heavily stirred in their spirits and they are excited about the avalanche of testimonies they are set to have this month!

A Report on the 3rd Healing Service, Autumn Session 2011 - April 10th 2011

It was sure to be an awesome time of blessings and refreshing in God’s presence at the 3rd healing service of the 2011 Healing School autumn session, in Johannesburg, South Africa. Two healing services have already taken place, where the man of God, Pastor Chris, healed thousands of sick people; notwithstanding, hundreds of others were once again gathered at the third one on the 10th of April 2011.

A Report on 2nd Healing Service, Autumn Session 2011 - March 27th 2011

God’s purpose for bringing healing to us, and His desire that we live in sound health continually, is born out of His eternal love for us, and that’s a fundamental truth. This boundless act of love is still experienced by many who come to the Healing School.
At the Healing School, the power of God is continually made manifest, and the works of the enemy continually destroyed; thus, enabling the righteous cause of the Lord Jesus Christ to prevail in the lives of many. On the 27th of March 2011, the second healing service of the Healing School autumn session took place in Johannesburg, South Africa. It was another glorious testament to the truth that God is love, and that He wants all men well! 3 John 1:2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
People came from 37 nations of the world to be touched at this life-transforming meeting. These include, Angola, Australia, Belgium, Botswana, Cameroun, Canada, Congo, Congo Democratic Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, France, Ghana, India, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Norway, Saint Helena, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Somalia, South Africa, Spain, Swaziland, Switzerland, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
The service started on high note with an opening prayer session that inspired everyone's faith. It was followed by magnificent worship, and then, testimonies from those who had received miracles at past sessions of the Healing School. This further increased the faith of the students, as they were convinced they would definitely receive their own miracles.
A short while into the service, the man of God, Pastor Chris, strode into the auditorium to a rousing applause from the congregation. Promptly, he ministered to the sick; casting out devils of infirmity and pronouncing words of healing and health on them. At a touch, a word or breath, they fell to the ground and then got up with praise, laughter, singing and rejoicing!
Some previously crippled in their legs discarded their supports and ran free, to the glory of God!
Nsaken Kifuabala, a 41 year-old lady from South Africa, who’d suffered from a stomach tumour was one of the many who was made whole by the power of God. “I had a stomach tumour which resulted in a swollen stomach. I couldn’t eat or sit properly, and felt weak constantly. I always had to lie down with pillows to support my stomach,” she said.
But all that changed after the man of God ministered to her and she got totally healed! “When Pastor Chris came to me, I felt myself shaking intensely. But I was waiting for just one word from him. And then he said, “You are healed!” Immediately, I got up and started running! I’m so grateful to God and Pastor Chris,” she testified with joy.
As the service came to a grand close, the celebration of miracles continued. The congregants carried in their hearts splendid memories of the miracles they’d experienced; and of a certainty, would further propagate the message of Christ’s healing and saving power. The knowledge of God’s healing power will spread and cover the earth, as the waters cover the sea!

The 1st Healing School Service Report, Autumn Session 2011 - 13th March 2011

It was the set time for change for hundreds that gathered at the Healing School in Johannesburg, South Africa on the 13th of March 2011. For weeks, news of the session had been in the air, and for the many across the world who got wind of it, they knew their time for change had come. A light had shone through their darkness, and they weren’t going to let it go. Holding fast to this beacon, they made their way to the Healing School.

For this service, it was recorded that people journeyed from 39 countries of the world! They include, Angola, Botswana, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Ghana, India, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Portugal, Rwanda, Saint Helena, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Somalia, Spain, South Africa, South Georgia, Swaziland, Tanzania, The Netherlands, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Speaking with some, one could literally see their years of pain and deep-rooted sadness. Many of them had been ill for so long, their only recollections of being happy were vague memories of the past. However, their eyes held an inspiring hope that said, “I’ve come to the right place and my miracle is now!” Well before the service began, the atmosphere was blanketed with God’s mighty presence. Particularly striking was the hunger and readiness to receive, demonstrated by the students and the Lord honoured their faith!

One of such was 60 year old Tozamile Bomvana from South Africa who had suffered from kidney failure, heart failure, diabetes and hypertension for four years. As a result of these conditions, he had swollen feet and face, and constantly experienced pain and heaviness in his body.

A short while into the service, the man of God, Pastor Chris came to Tozamile and laid his hand on his chest several times. Next he placed his hand over his forehead. Releasing the healing anointing into his entire being, the man of God then blew on Tozamile and declared him healed! And that was it! Tozamile got up and walked without any support, rejoicing in thanksgiving to God! “I'm strengthened, I'm healed!” he testified with joy afterwards.

MAY 2011 COMMUNION SERVICE REPORT

The Communion Service for the month of May 2011 was an extraordinary meeting with the man of God, Pastor Chris. Many anticipated the meeting earnestly, seeking to know the mind of the Spirit for the new month. Remarkably too, the service held on the first day of the month. It was an extraordinary time in God’s presence and we reveled in an awesome fellowship with the Holy Spirit. More than sixty partner ministries also participated in the live transmission.

Welcoming the online congregation to the May edition of the monthly Communion service, the man of God started his opening charge with reference to the just concluded month of Intercession, “the month of April was for us a month of Intercession and we spent that whole month praying about other people. Of course, that didn’t mean we didn’t have time to pray about things we were concerned about; we did but generally, we did spend time to pray for others and that was good. It was the right thing to do” he started.

Opening Charge
Reading 1st Peter 5:6-7 as the opening scripture, Pastor Chris charged the Congregation to cast their cares upon God: “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you”. In a bid to make the people see the beauty of these verses, the man of God read again from the Amplified Bible “Casting the whole of your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully”.  “Meditating on this scripture stirs my spirit” the man of God exclaimed excitedly, “the Word of God tells us what is on His mind and to know what’s on God’s mind, you get to go to His Word…” he exhorted the Live audience as they watched from their various locations across the globe.

Worry No More!
Emphasizing further on the opening verses, Pastor Chris remarked once more that there are people who care so much. “If they don’t worry, they’re not happy. They feel like something is not right if they are not worrying… and they worry so much they got worry wrinkles. They worry all the time. If you took worry away from them, they will not be happy. They love to worry. See, but you can’t live your life like that” he said. 

“What’s going through you mind? What troubleth thee? Cast them all once and for all, for God is watching you. Not watching you to destroy you, no; watching you, taking care of you. This is what God says about Himself with respect to us” he continued as he used Matthew 6vs 6-8 to buttress this teaching: “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet and when thy hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father in secret, for thy Father which seeth thee in secret will reward you openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions as the heathen do: for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them for your Father knowest what things ye need of, before ye ask Him”.

Why Ask?
Teaching further, the man of God elucidates that God already knows what individual’s need before He is asked. “So, why ask then?” many may wonder.  “Why ask? I mean, if He already knows what’s on my mind, why do I ask? That’s why some people are asking? Doesn’t God know what’s on my mind? Doesn’t God know?” in explaining these questions, Pastor Chris illustrated that the physical world and the spiritual world are two different realms of life. “They are not the same; just because you live in a certain way here in this world, in this plane of life doesn’t mean that’s the way God sees things”.


Different Kinds of Prayer
Amplifying further on spiritual principles, Pastor Chris read from the book of Ephesians 6 verse 18 “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints”. In the NIV, the Bible says: “And pray in the Spirit on all occasion with all kinds of prayer requests…”  “That means there are different kinds of prayers...There are rules that govern prayer. All prayers are not the same; there are different kinds of prayer”. There are different kinds of prayers in the Bible but they are not governed by the same rules. And saying this, the man of God went on to state the different kinds of prayers that there are:

1)The Prayer of Faith; 2) The Prayer of Agreement;  3) The prayer of Dedication and Consecration;  4) The Prayer of Praise and Worship;  5) The prayer of Prophetic Utterance which is also known as Prophetic prayer;  6) Meditative Prayer and,  7) The Prayer of Intercession.

Shedding more light on this, the man of God further explained that there are also various methods of prayer; methods of communication in prayer.  The first amongst these is praying in other tongues; the second one is praying in your understanding; the third one is praying with groanings or deep sighs.

“If there are so many different kinds of prayer and there are rules to govern them, that lets you know how important prayer is in the Word of God and how we need to learn about prayer. When you are in a situation, what kind of prayer should you pray? One more reason why you need to be in the house of God…”  “…To face the challenges of life, you need a lot more. And to live a very successful life, you need to put more into your spirit because what you have inside you is what you will bring out when push comes to shove” he emphasized emphatically


Your Responsibility
Still expatiating, the man of God posited “Let me read something to you in the Book of Ezekiel chapter 36…”: “A new heart also will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away stony heart out of your flesh and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you… And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your Fathers… I will also save you from all your uncleannesses and I will call forth the corn (prosperity)…” Wonderful, this is great! “…Thus saith the Lord God, in the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will also cause you to dwell in the cities and the wastes shall be rebuilt…” God makes these beautiful promises. Wonderful!

God is talking about how He’s going to bless His people and then strikingly He says in verse 37, “Thus saith the Lord God: I will yet for this day be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock…”  Think about it. He says I will bless them… but they have to pray for me to do it. They’re going to have to ask me!  “He’s letting us understand the relationship between those in the earth and the heavenly powers that are made available to us. He’s letting us know that we’re going to work together. He’s letting us know that even though God wants to do great things in your life and He speaks prophetically into your life, there are glorious things he wants to do for you, you’ve got a responsibility. You’ve got to ask for me to do it; in order words, you’ve got to give me the permission; you’ve got to take advantage of my ability. That’s what He meant when Paul wrote to Timothy: “Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus…” In order words, take advantage of the grace that is in Christ Jesus”! Pastor Chris declared excitedly.


Lifting Up Holy Hands
Reading on, “…Now, let me read something else to you in Matthew 18:18 “Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven”. Did you see that? Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth… that means whatever you forbid to take place on earth shall be forbidden in heaven; that means heaven will give the authority and back what you have said. You refuse sickness in your family. You bind the works of evil in your family. That means heaven will put a stamp on it and say “that’s right!” if you don’t do it, nothing will be done. Nothing will change. And you will keep saying “O God, I don’t know why? I don’t know why things keep going bad…?” You’ve got a job to do”  he admonished everyone as they listened with rapt attention.

Sharing further from the book of Exodus, chapter 17, the man of God explained more using an illustration of the Israelites’ victory over the  Amalekites; when Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed;  as long as those hands were held up, Israel prevailed. What a remarkable discovery!
“What’s important here is how an act of faith in the earth caused victory for God’s people. And the heavenly powers made available to us were activated by actions in the earth. He wasn’t talking. His hands went up and Israel prevailed and his hands went down, and their enemies prevailed against them. What did Paul say? He said: “I will that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” He says “Pray, lifting your hands”. How often do you lift your hands in prayer? Do you realize the lifting of our hands as the evening sacrifice according to the Bible? Do you realize how important it is for us to lift our hands when we pray?”

“Paul said “I will that all men pray everywhere, lifting holy hands…” What is he telling you? There is a signal of your victory. Learn to lift your hands in prayer and you will prevail. You say “well, I’ve been going through difficulties in my life”; maybe this is what you haven’t done yet. When Moses lifted up his hands, Israel prevailed; when his hands went down because he was tired, his enemies prevailed against him. And Paul said, “I want you to do it this way: lift your hands in prayer”. Oh! When you lift your hands in pray, you’ll experience an inspiration in prayer that you never knew. You’d be amazed. There’ll be an inspiration in prayer that you have not experienced before. You lift your hands and say “Father, in the Name of the Lord Jesus…” Halleluyah!

 
The Month of Revelation in God’s Word
“The anointing is here to share the Word of God with you. This month is a special month, this month of May; I’m telling you is a beautiful month! It’s a month in which the Spirit of God is going to be bringing us revelation of His Word. It’s a month of Revelation in the Word of God. The Spirit of God is going to give that anointing to you, even now as I’m sharing the Word of God with you. The anointing is coming on you. The anointing of God is being imparted to you to receive more and more knowledge of His Word. As you study the Word of God this month of May, there will be a new understanding, a new quickening of your spirit” Pastor Chris declared deeply.

“Now, I want to read to you something about it, so that you’ll understand where we’re going this month. By the end of this month, you will be in another level in your life. Ephesians Chapter 1 (Amplified version):  “Wherefore I also, after I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and love unto all the saints, cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.” Praise God. Hallelujah! “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know what is the hope of His calling and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints…”

Prayer For The Month
“This month, you pray like this: “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory grants me, gives me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. He gives me, the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of my understanding…” See, you personalize this prayer here. This is the prayer that Paul prayed for the Ephesian church. No wonder the church in Ephesus were so enlightened in the things of God. They were so enlightened about spiritual matters and they grew remarkably in the things of God. They were mature in the things of God. They walked in the light of our divine nature and they were very successful. And this will also bring you to that place of success. Look at it: so, you pray as he prayed for them from the 17th verse. “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, grants me…” If your name is John, you say “John…”. “…grants me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. The eyes of my understanding being enlightened; that I may know what is the hope of His calling and the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” You personalize this!” established the man of God.

“Personalize this everyday for the next one week; say it every day for the next one week.  All right?” And explicating further, Pastor Chris read more from God’s Word “For this reason ever since I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ…. (NIV)”  Did you notice “…I keep asking…” “That means it was not a one-time prayer. It was not a one-off prayer. You see. So, my telling you that you do this in the next one week is significant”.

An Important Admonition
In ending the most enlightening teaching segment of the Communion Service, the man of God urged the attendees ardently “…the Spirit of God is going to enlighten you like never before. Now listen: this is not going to happen if you ignore the Bible. It’s not going to happen if you if ignore the Word of God. Get the Word in you. Study the scriptures. Get the messages. Listen to the messages, the tapes, the CDs, VCDs, the DVDs. Get it into your ipods or iphones or whatever your mobile device is. So, that everywhere you are, you can listen to the Word of God from time to time. So important; increase your knowledge of the Word this month of May. And the Spirit of God will minister to you; open your mind to the things you never knew before”. Hallelujah!

Wow! What a service! Not one participant in this month’s Communion service left their various venues untouched. The words heard from God’s teaching Priest, Pastor Chris, re-echoed in their hearts so strong as they made their way home.

Surely, this month, we will increase in wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God, and we are set to experience a continuous series of the miraculous!

A Service Report On June 2011 Communion Service With Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD

Welcome to this special program in this special month of June, one in which we'd be engaging together in several spiritual activities…” these were the opening words of the man of God, Pastor Chris, as he welcomed the online congregation to yet another awe-inspiring Communion service; the 6th edition in this glorious year 2011: Our Year as A Burning and A Shining Light.

The monthly online meeting which held on the 5th day of June 2011 had in attendance members from all Christ Embassy Churches around the world. It was a most remarkable meeting; not only was it the anticipated monthly communion service, it also marked the 1st year anniversary of the Prayer Network with Pastor Chris; and it was with so much expectation and grateful hearts that the people gathered in their various church locations and viewing centers across the globe to participate live via the Internet and Satellite transmissions.


PASTOR CHRIS LIVE SESSION
The meeting started in earnest first with the Pastor Chris Live Question and Answer Segment; a most inspiring session transmitted to the entire world (members and non-members) via Satellite and terrestrial stations every Sunday by 16:00hrs GMT. 
During this segment, the man of God took ample time to disambiguate the diverse questions that were sent in from the audience with answers from God’s Word; an enlightening segment it really was.


PRAYER NETWORK ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
Moving into the next segment of the meeting, the man of God excitedly announced that it’s been one year since the Prayer Network with him started,”…a year ago God asked me to lead His children in prayers by sending out prayer points through the internet for them to pray. I thought it would be only for that month. But by the end of that month, God asked us to continue, we did and it has been an amazing experience…” he said.

The Prayer Network which started out initially on Twitter on the 6th of June 2010 expanded into the development of the ministry’s very own social network – Yookos – launched on the 31st of December 2010, and in less than 3 months, the man of God had millions of followers on his page on Yookos (www.yookos.com/pastorchrislive)!

While also acknowledging and appreciating all those who have worked tirelessly in the past one year to make the Prayer Network a success, Pastor Chris excitedly posited that the One Year anniversary celebration continues throughout the whole month of June.


JUNE: OUR MONTH OF STRENGTHENING
In opening the 3rd main segment of the service, the man of God read from 3 inspiring books from the Bible. First from the book of Luke 22:41-43.
41 And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, 42 saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” 43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.

Reading further, he opened 1Kings 19:7-8:
7 And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for thee.” 8 So he arose, and did eat and drink; and he went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

And then, Revelations 3:2: Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

Making reference to these scriptures, Pastor Chris explicated that the 1st scripture shows the Lord Jesus being strengthened by the Holy Spirit. The food Elijah fed on in 1 Kings 19:7-8 is the Word of God and even though Elijah was running from Jezebel, he was being led by God!

What is the Lord saying unto us in this month? Asking the attentive congregation this question, the man of God postulated “…this month of June is a month of Strengthening!” “…like Jesus, when we pray we shall also be strengthened. And this is exactly what we require; to be strengthened by God...” he proclaimed to the world-wide viewers.

Going on, the man of God admonished “…But then we also bear the responsibility keeping ourselves in the strength of God all the time. Whatever talents and gifts of God in your life, you need to strengthen them if they have become weak. You need to strengthen yourself in prayer, strengthen yourself in the study of God's Word, strengthen yourself in evangelism and soul-winning. Hallelujah!”  “Whatever area of your life that's been weakened by negligence, it is time for you to strengthen it now. As we get strengthened by God's Word and the Spirit of God, it is our responsibility to strengthen those weakened areas of our lives and ministry”, Pastor Chris further charged the congregation.
And with these teachings, the man of God urged everyone present in the meeting to pray to be strengthened in various areas of their lives. Strength he said, should come every time the Word of God is studied and also in times of prayers.


THE COMMUNION
After much praying and declarations by the congregation, the man of God moved the service into the Communion segment. And reading from 1 Corinthians 11: 23-24:
 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me”, he gave the instruction “Go ahead and break the bread now”. 

Reading further after the breaking of the bread: 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do ye, as oft as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”  26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord’s death till He comes”, the man of God gave thanks for the cup “…we thank you Father for the blood of your Son Jesus that was shed for us for the remission of sins. We thank you for the forgiveness of sins in that we have in that blood”. And unanimously across the globe, the online congregation proceeded in taking the wine which signifies the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, drinking it in faith.

He also declared further to the congregation as they took the cup “that cup is a point of contact, every sickness, disease and infirmity is washed away as you drink it. It is our oneness with the Lord, every barrier against you is shattered, nothing can limit you, nothing can withstand you” Halleluyah!

In closing the life-transforming service, the man of God announced the launch of a special website – www.wikisozo.com. This website he said, has been developed for everyone to upload and share their inspiring stories of salvation with the whole world. The news was received by all with so much enthusiasm and jubilation as they saw this as another glorious avenue to impact and reach out to their world.

The beautiful month of June has started and of course, millions around the world have been equipped once more with God’s Word; with the knowledge that it’s a month of strengthening by the Holy Ghost for them, only testimonies of great accomplishments and mighty impact can be their story every day of this month!
